His Side of the Story:

It all started in Egypt, with a chance encounter with some of her friends. At the time, I simply thought: ‘Perfect, I’ll already know a few people when I visit Vienna in a few weeks.’ What I didn’t realize was that this small moment would become the butterfly effect—setting in motion something much bigger than I could have imagined.

Not long after, I arrived in Vienna—and that’s when I met her. From the very first moment, she struck me as someone rare: kind, genuine, and effortlessly thoughtful. She made me feel welcome, made sure I had an unforgettable time, and carried this warmth that immediately drew me in. I told myself: “She’s special.”

At first, I thought she would simply remain a great friend. I didn’t imagine I had a chance with her. But as we spent more time together, that thought slowly changed. She was funny, smart, and had a way of making every conversation meaningful. Before I knew it, I was looking forward to hearing from her more than anything else.

What started with simple chats quickly grew into long conversations that lasted for hours. With every one of them, I found myself falling a little more. And when she told me she usually doesn’t chat much with anyone, but was making an exception for me, I couldn’t help but hope.

She once admitted she had never truly loved before. In that moment, I made a quiet promise to myself: “One day, I’ll change that.” And so I stayed — patient, certain, and grateful for every step that brought us closer.
